vis-a-vis Weird Al vs. other parodists - Foxboy - 02-13-2004

Well, here's where you can pick up the previous topic of "Songs Doug Should Never Play"...
Just so you know, "A**hole Son" is a parody by the Bob Rivers group. Unlike Al, they see no problem with cursing up a storm. In fact Weird Al is unusal amongst modern parodists for his restraint.
*EDIT* Changed thread reference....
''We don't just borrow words; on occasion, English has pursued other languages down alleyways to beat
them unconscious and rifle their pockets for new vocabulary.''

Really? Bob Rivers? Cool. The only stuff of theirs I know is their "Twisted Christmas" albums. I'll have to look for that now.

(evil grin) Be prepared to lose several days productivity. I particularly reccommend "Dirty Deeds (Done With Sheep)"...

Oh, I have that one already. Didn't know it was Bob Rivers, either...
I'm beginning to wonder now how many of those non-Al parodies are actually Bob Rivers and his posse...
