A couple more songs - Norgarth - 04-14-2009

This one seems like an obvious Gatesong

Supertramp "Take the Long Way home"

So you think you're a Romeo

playing a part in a picture-show

Take the long way home

Take the long way home

'Cus you're the joke of the neighborhood

Why should you care if you're feeling good

Take the long way home

Take the long way home

But there are times that you feel you're part of the scenery

aaaall the greenery is comin' down, boy

And then your wife seems to think you're part of the

furniture ,ooohhh it's peculiar, she used to be so nice.

When lonely days turn to lonely nights

you take a trip to the city lights

And take the long way home

Take the long way home

You never see what you want to see

Forever playing to the gallery

You take the long way home

Take the long way home

And when you're up on the stage, it's so unbelievable,

oooohhh, unforgettable, how they adore you,

But then your wife seems to think you're losing your sanity,

oh, calamity, is there no way out?

ooohh, Yea!!

Does it feel that your life's become a catastrophe?

Oooohh, it has to be for you to grow, boy.

When you look through the years and see what you could

have been oh, what might have been,

if you'd had more time.

So, when the day comes to settle down,

Who's to blame if you're not around?

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

You took the long way home

Long way home..

Long way home..

Long way home..

Depeche Mode "Wrong"

I was born with the wrong sign

In the wrong house

With the wrong ascendancy

I took the wrong road

That led to the wrong tendencies

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time

For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme

On the wrong day of the wrong week

I used the wrong method with the wrong technique

Wrong

Wrong

There's something wrong with me chemically

Something wrong with me inherently

The wrong mix in the wrong genes

I reached the wrong ends by the wrong means

It was the wrong plan

In the wrong hands

With the wrong theory for the wrong man

The wrong lies, on the wrong vibes

The wrong questions with the wrong replies

Wrong

Wrong

I was marching to the wrong drum

With the wrong scum

Pissing out the wrong energy

Using all the wrong lines

And the wrong signs

With the wrong intensity

I was on the wrong page of the wrong book

With the wrong rendition of the wrong hook

Made the wrong move, every wrong night

With the wrong tune played till it sounded right yeah

Wrong

Wrong

Too long

Wrong

I was born with the wrong sign

In the wrong house

With the wrong ascendancy

I took the wrong road

That led to the wrong tendencies

I was in the wrong place at the wrong time

For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme

On the wrong day of the wrong week

I used the wrong method with the wrong technique

Wrong

Power: Murphy (as in Murphy's Law) goes on a rampage in Doug's AoE. Anyone using complicated technology or intricate magics are the most likely to be
targeted but anyone, friend or foe, could suffer things as simple as a twisted ankle.

- Bob Schroeck - 02-01-2010

"Take The Long Way Home" has been in one of my song list files as a gate song for a long time now; it's probably going to be one that Doug will get increasingly less likely to try simply because of its title, despite its apparent guarantee of getting there.

"Wong"... hm, Yeah, I think I could work with that somewhere.
