Looking for older Ranma fics - robkelk - 04-03-2008

No, not me - somebody on Usenet. He's looking for the best Ranma 1/2 fanfiction from before 2002, and preferably from the '90s.

So far, the suggestion list includes:

What have we missed?

I don't know how many of these count, but they're all complete, of excellent quality, and fairly old.

That's the old RAAC archive. The links in the *new* RAAC archive are:

ftp://ftp.gweep.ca/pub/anime/anime-fan- ... -road.1.gz
ftp://ftp.gweep.ca/pub/anime/anime-fan- ... -road.2.gz

...and to be honest there isn't much in the archive that doesn't potstdate 1-1-03, and precious little of that. Sic transit gloria USEnet.

Either, apparently, as long as it's good.

(I recommended The Replacement Ranmas, after all...)

There is one that I recall, but I can not for the life of me remember its name. Akane was a ghost, a desendant of Ryoga's was cursed into turning into a
female, fruit bat.

Oh, robkelk, you do know that the "Girl Days" link is actually a link to most of Kenko's fanfics, with the exception of

Redheads."There's only one kind of monster that uses bullets"-Colonel VanHeusen , from "It! The Terror From Beyond Space"

- Soutern Cross - 04-04-2008

I also recommend Ranma's Apartment."There's only one kind of monster that uses bullets"-Colonel VanHeusen , from "It! The Terror From Beyond Space"

Yep. And the "Replacement Ranmas" link is to most of Angus MacSpon's fanfics. I did both of those on purpose.

(Oh, and you don't need to be so formal; feel free to just call me Rob.)

I have no idea what happened to Ranma 2099. It was that fic Southern Cross, but I lost the link a while back.

I think maybe you mean "Ranma 2096". You can find it at http://archives.eyrie.org/anime/Ranma/Ranma-2096/ .

Is this a continuation? or a rewrite? or something else all together?

I saw that when I grabbed the URL I provided, but I didn't click the link and check it out. It doesn't sound familiar, but mind you, the Ranma 2096 project was active twelve years ago. I'm surprised I remember as much as I do about it.

Sorry about that everybody-I guess I got the title confused with Marvel Comic's 2099 series.....

An incomplete Ranma/Sailor Moon cross (written in 2000A.D.) I can recommend is Lines of

Oh, yeah, that's a classic one.

Ranma's Apartment was another good story, but again I have no idea where it is at anymore.

I might have that one archived on one of my comps due to it being a relic of my "dial up with only one phoneline" days of web browsing.

I used to copy fanfic to my HD and disconnect to read it so my family could use the phone.
