Evangelion Codec Help? - Evil Midnight Lurker - 02-08-2008 So I downloaded a sub of Rebuild of Evangelion 01 here (search for evangelion_rebuild) and ran into problems almost immediately. It seems that the subtitles are designed to be read using Windows Media Player, but I don't have whatever codec would make this one work and also have no clue as to how to figure out which one to get. (I thought I was up to date, but it would appear otherwise.) It'll play under VLC Media Player, but the subs are all wonky and in many cases completely illegible -- black text on black background, yay. Can anyone assist with this conundrum? ^.^ --Sam "Well that guy's nekkid." - Foxboy - 02-08-2008 CCCP: Complete Community Codec Pack. Worked wonders for me. Its still only the awful cam release ![]() - Evil Midnight Lurker - 02-09-2008 Installing CCCP didn't work, but switching to Media Player Classic did. ![]() And I'd rather see a high quality dvd-rip myself, but for now it's what we got. ^.^ --Sam "Egad, man, what's the point?!" |
