Maid: The Role Playing Game... - Morganite - 09-15-2008 ... is out in english. Looks like it's a pretty decent system for doing something completely silly. (Though I'm declaring a house rule of "If an attribute is at 0, act like it's at 1 for purposes of action resolution." Because if I wanted to see dice getting *not* rolled, I'd play Amber.) It does seem like there might be a bit too much potential for cascade failure sometimes though. There's a variety of references here and there, many of which have little to do with maids at all. (Like one item which I'm certain is a reference to the Angel Arms from Trigun.) So if you're a person like me who's into references, it's fun that way. And it's filled with perversion as well! Edit: And in case you were wondering, someone was a total dick and posted the pdf online. Not much of a surprise, yes? -Morgan, a shy womanizer maid with... ... What exactly *is* this thing for anyway? ... Maybe putting it on the mop will work... - robkelk - 09-15-2008 Oh, I have got to get a copy of that. I doubt I'll ever actually play it, but I've got to get a copy anyway... -- Rob Kelk "Governments have no right to question the loyalty of those who oppose them. Adversaries remain citizens of the same state, common subjects of the same sovereign, servants of the same law." - Michael Ignatieff, addressing Stanford University in 2012 - Morganite - 09-16-2008 Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever play *any* RPGs again; it seems to be difficult to find people with a compatible sense of humor around here. I'd kind of like to give this a try sometime though, even though there's a number of things that I think could use some modification. (Being half-naked making everything impossible is not reasonable IMO. Increase the penalties, but apply them after the multiplication step perhaps? Oh, and if you gain 2d6 favor for being seduced, it ought to say so somewhere other than in the example... but I can't find it. While we're at it, most rules leading to characters being removed from the game will be removed from the game.) -Morgan. School Swimsuit + Apron allows doing housework, right? - SCM Writer of 2814 - 08-31-2010 Ah, Maid. One of those games that can't really be played by post. Believe me, I've tried.
