Favorite Roguelike? - jpub - 02-05-2009 Since they broke CoH from working at my workplace (sad) and I can't maintain a decent connection at home until Shaw decides to fix their local router (also sad), I've been playing roguelikes lately. So I'm curious - anyone have a favorite variant? I've been playing vanilla Angband, since with V3.0 I like the interface. Tried Zangband (Zelazny-based), but I found the interface clumsy since it was 2.5 based. I also tried ToME, but I found myself massively overwhelmed with the skills system. My best so far (before my idiocy killed my savefile, *sob*) was a L35 Priest. - Wiregeek - 02-05-2009 Kongregate.com is my timewaster of choice, this month. "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." Not that I have the latest version, nor have I played it much, but when it was the thing for me, that was the thing I did. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - Epsilon - 02-05-2009 Does Dwarf Fortress count? -------------- Epsilon "Welcome to Boatmurdered, I HOPE YOU LIKE MIASMA!" - jpub - 02-05-2009 Dwarf Fortress does idneed count. Not my cuppa, but I've heard they released DF2 recently. |
