Just finished the first episode of Elfen Lied - yjk - 04-02-2009 O_O Those first seven minutes make Ninja Scroll look like Hello Kitty... That said, I'm totally watching the next epiosde. --YJK, AKA Arnold Kim --------------------------- Watch my brand new video blogs at my Youtube channel! "Kanrinin-SAAAN!" - Yusaku Godai Avatar- Lum Invader, courtesy of this fan made Youtube video My Anime List: http://myanimelist.net/profile/ArnoldK - Epsilon - 04-02-2009 Elfin Lied is basically a long, unsubtle parody of the harem comedy genre. This will become more obvious as it goes on. ---------------- Epsilon - yumekochan - 04-03-2009 Well, if you made it through the first seven minutes, you'll be just fine =D --Amanda "Hey, it's not like dying is on my schedule for this week." --Yumeko Asagiri, Bubblegum Crisis: The Next Generation, part 3 - Kurisu - 04-03-2009 Heh... wait 'til he gets to the puppy incident... _____ DEATH is Certain. The hour, Uncertain... - Baseload - 04-03-2009 Unfortunately, I have to give it a little more time before I can watch it again. The anime club I go to was all set to watch it and, as it started, someone found the violence to be downright histerical and they, along with the rest of their peanut gallery, started pulling a Walldorf and Statler on it. Ruined the whole serious mood and tone for me. Had to actually walk out on Episode 1. - Epsilon - 04-03-2009 Quote: Baseload wrote:I am unconvinced that hysterical laughter was not the intended reaction to Elfin Lied. Generally, people who take it too seriously tend not to like it. Like i said, its a parody, a satire that plays itself completely straight. ---------------- Epsilon - yumekochan - 04-04-2009 Quote: Kurisu wrote: Ah, that's right...and don't forget Mayu's flashback of why she ran away from home >.< --Amanda "Hey, it's not like dying is on my schedule for this week." --Yumeko Asagiri, Bubblegum Crisis: The Next Generation, part 3 - Kurisu - 04-04-2009 Ooh, points to you, Little Dreamer...
