Wanna Hear Something Really Scary? - Ebony - 04-29-2009 Alan Moore reads Rorshach's Journal Possibly the creepiest thing I've heard in some time.... Ebony the Black Dragon http://ebony14.livejournal.com "Good night, and may the Good Lord take a Viking to you." - Bob Schroeck - 04-29-2009 Creepy, but the British accent blows the full suspension of disbelief for me. Still, a wonderful insight into Moore's vision of who Rorschach is. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak. - DHBirr - 04-30-2009 Very ... well, "nice" isn't the right word. Quote: a wonderful insight into Moore's vision of who Rorschach is.Along similar lines, I once heard a recording of Tolkien reading a passage from The Lord of the Rings. What struck me most was that the voice he gave Gollum sounded like Yoda. ----- Big Brother is watching you. And damn, you are so bloody BORING. - Logan Darklighter - 05-01-2009 This is fascinating. If ANYONE would know what the real emotional underpinning of the character Rorschach would be - it's Moore. And the way he reads this is about as creepy as I would've imagined it! There are only two (minor) things that don't quite fit. One - his British accent. And Moore's voice is more age-roughened than Rorschach's should be. Aside from those two minor caveats (which are understandable and can't be helped), it's surprising how much the movie voice and this are similar! |
