Snert - 1989 - 2009 - Wiregeek - 08-04-2009 I found her on the floor below her cat bed, cold and dead when I got home from work yesterday. She was over 20 years old, and was a very good cat. Her passing was painless, and not unexpected. She will be missed. Snert 1989 - 2009 Goodbye, Good Cat. "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." Losing a pet is hard, especially one that's been with you halfway to forever.Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead Snert - Rev Dark - 08-04-2009 We're so sorry to hear this Wire, Our hearts go out to you. Shayne and Cindy - Wiregeek - 08-05-2009 Thank you all for your well wishes. It's strange being in a single-cat household. It has been several years (...since 2001, I do believe) since I have been this low on Cat. We'll be putting the Cat Level back up to two when we get back from fishing at the end of this month (4-5yrs old, spayed, local shelter adoption), but nothing can truly replace Snert. She wasn't even 'my' cat, and I will miss her. "No can brain today. Want cheezeburger." It sucks to come home only to find that one of your best friends has passed on. ... I'm going to name my first cat that Hobbes. Hopefully it will have a quirky personality worthy of the namesake. - Star Ranger4 - 08-06-2009 Huh.... things you never knew you never knew. I usually associate that term with a particularly clueless type of chatroom troll myself. Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky? I can only imagine how it feels to lose a companion of 20 years. My second-deepest condolences* to you, sir. *(which are quite impressively deep, and only not my deepest because I have to save something for the death of human family members) My Unitarian Jihad Name is: Brother Atom Bomb of Courteous Debate.
