I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I've always liked to "go to the source" ^_^ myself: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/index.html.

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of a "for dummies" site, but I'll start there. Thanks!

Getting started: Download the community edition 5.0 or 5.1 and install it. Create a user account and a database catalog in the administrator tool. Then in the
query tool log in as that user and create some tables, run some queries, etc. From there it depends on what you are going to use to access it (I assume
programmatically).

I have a couple of .pdf's here... Is there a way to upload them to you?

Upload them? No. Can you try emailing them?

Yes, you pegged the space quota. You can try again later, I just dl'ed and deleted the first two.

www.scribd.com has a lot of mysql related entries, although most of the beginner oriented ones appear to be involving php.

I just sent #3, Bob.

...and I'm glad to have helped.
