I'm in Windsor (and as it happens, I have relatives in Ottawa). I didn't hear anything, but the running joke in my family is that if I'm reading something the first step in getting my attention is smacking me upside the head. 8)
You too?
I've tuned out a 2 alarm fire a block from my house while reading.

Quote: Not that I want to nitpick, but wasn't it etablished that the helmet runs on a "drillium" (let's avoid the full name ^_^ power cell that should last for years? (even discounting the effects that years of exposure to Doug's field could have had on it?)
Well, yes... but at this point, he's been on the Walk for years.
Besides, a good soldier reloads whenever possible, because he never knows when he'll have the chance to do so. (Yes, I know the Warriors aren't soldiers, but the principle still holds.)

got another possibility for a 'simulate Sailor Mars' powers' song, Flamethrower by J. Geils Band
All day long she holds it back
Back with all her might
She carries a burnin' torch inside
She holds it firm and tight
She punches out the clock
While it keeps punchin' out her life
She's a flamethrower, red-hot glower
Flamethrower at night
The things she wears at work
They hang off her kinda loose
Her blouse don't fit, the pants ain't right
She ain't no front page news
But when her work is done
And the daytime turns to night
The headlines flash in neon
That the girl has taken flight
Chairman of the board
Won't look her in the eye
The fire of her vision
His money just can't buy
Silently she waits
Silently she contemplates
She can make 'em tremble
You know the reason why
Chorus
She's a flame - flamethrower
She's a flamethrower at night
She's a flame - a red-hot glower
She's a flamethrower at night
You might think you're burnin'
All your candles at both ends
Maybe you should go to church
To make up some amends
But if you think you're fireproof
So cool and much too much
Don't dare go near my baby
'Cause she'll melt you with her touch
I forget the darkness
I forget the pain
When she's movin' through my heart
And when she's pumpin' through my veins
She's the part inside me
I never can control
And she's the only reason
I know I've got a soul

I don't know how it sounds, but damn, thast's a close hit by the lyrics.
- CDSERVO: Loook *deeeeply* into my eyes... Tell me, what do you see?
CROW: (hypnotized) A twisted man who wants to inflict his pain upon others.
Dr. Akagi will recover. Observe, Rei smiled. Shinji-kun, are these your clothes?
Ritsuko shot up like a spring loaded meerkat. What? Shinji-kun is naked?
See, Anata? Dr. Hentai is alive and well. - Innortal's _I Do_

Yeah, that's definitely a Mars simulacrum song from the looks of it.

Something else for the Sailor Moon Step

The Age of Aquarius from the musical "Hair" soundtrack
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius!
Aquarius!
Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revalation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius!
Aquarius!
When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars
This is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
The age of Aquarius
Aquarius!
Aquarius!
One of two things happens...Doug (and possibly a few others nearby) get a precog vision of Crystal Tokyo or get a vision of the Moon Kingdom prior to its fall.
Might come in handy since the Mooncats memories are swiss-cheesed.

The canonical power for Aquarius is "Area effect non-violence."
(Speaking of, there's a parody song I heard once, (It's time to clean the) Aquarium, which might want people to scrub out the nearest fish tank... but that has nothing to do with Sailor Moon.)

Rob is correct -- it was used in the next-to-last chapter of DWII.
