It come from the last season Angel. It's mentioned at one point when they interact with the Watcher's council - either when they're trying to get help for Fred or when dweeb boy turns up.
I've never actually seen the season, and very little of Angel at all, but that's what I've read somewhere.

Don't remember the title of the ep, but it's a Season 5 ep where crew come upon a nutsoid girl (Dana) who became nutsoid and dangerous once she got Slayerized.
Andrew shoes up with a contingent of Slayers to recover the girl, and in his bits he says Xander is in Africa (looking for Slayers), Willow is in South America (looking for Slayers and spending time on the beach), and I *believe* that Buffy's in Italy with the Immortal.--
