Urbandead and Flyff
Urbandead and Flyff
#1
1) Go play Urbandead. www.urbandead.com. Zombie apocalypse fun. I'm hanging out in Scarletwood, but you may not
want to be there, there's a zombie horde on the way.

2) Has anyone tried Flyff? Is it any good? Could a dedicated soloist like me enjoy it?

I tried Flyff for all of an hour. It was very much a treadmill game from what I saw. Everquest XVII. I couldn't say if it was a soloist game but the
'grouping' features were pretty minimal.

I used to play Urban Dead (survivor), eventually got tired of dealing with griefers and the sheep who, when under siege by a zombie horde, do nothing but
barricade whatever building they are in and then flee as the first hint of danger. [Image: tired.gif]

Mmm... do you know any popular safe houses in Scarletwood? This is purely out of curiosity and not so I can break in and eat everyone. No sir, not at all.

Yeah, right. My survivor group would probably toss me out to be eaten if I gave up our safehouses.

Aw, c'mon. I'd just nibble everyone a bit and leave, I promise.

Ok, I admit it'd be a POISONOUS nibble and I'd leave the door open for the cute lil zombies who can't open doors yet, but still.

Flyff is one of those grind-a-thon free2play MMO. It really didn't click with me even if I wasn't paying anything.

Haven't played for awhile, but I've been aware of/in the game for some time.
I'm "http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=37062]a lot of zombies".  Sometimes I'm a zombie, sometimes I'm a human.  I generally make an effort to play whatever I am at the moment.
Although, I'd rather lean more heavily on human, right now, as I want to build both trees up--the improved dangerousness of zombie mobs--resulting in frequent deaths for me--was dampening that aspiration, last time I was playing.

One think I've noticed is my tendency to be paranoid about the game is working to my detriment. I'm having to force myself to not log in a lot, because
I waste too many AP that way.

That's what I like about being a zombie, no worries at all. If you die while you're logged out, well you just get back up and keep going like
nothing happened.

Don't forget the scintillating conversation! Grab banana! Grab harman! Banana gangbang! Barhah! Barhah! Barhah!

I miss the RRF of old, when Petro led us to mall after mall. And then Caiger. Dark days after that. Dark days.
