There was a semi-furry author back in the 90s named Simon Barber, who had the subspecies homo sapiens animeous. Not SD per se, but definitely along those lines. He made mention that, due to the general facial structure, they had little sense of smell or taste (small nose and corresponding sinuses) and their contact lenses had to be custom made.Ebony the Black Dragon
