funny NPC

as Lady Nogitsune dinged 49, she was on a mission with this npc:
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: This is like, so totally grody!
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: Like, Ohmigawd! Lady Nogitsune! We are so gonna totally rock now!
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: Like, I have always SOOO wanted to meet you!
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: And now we can like, totally fight together and all sorts of stuff.
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: All the other Fortunatas were all TOTALLY like 'Tarantula Program? Eeew!'
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: And then they were like, 'Like, what are you thinking, Becky?'
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: And I was totally like 'I'll get to meet all kinds of interesting people and stuff.'
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: And look, here I am, like, totally fighting alongside YOU!
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: This is even better then when I worked with Silver Mantis.
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: She's, like, totally uptight, until you get to know her, y'know?
Becky, the Tarantula Mistress: But this is sooo much better than that.

Bwahahahhaha!!!
I've been of the opinion that the writing in both games has been much improved since CoV hit. "Broad-minded is just another way of saying a fellow's too lazy to form an opinion." -- Will RogersGlobal: @Jimmy Amp

And now I can't get the image of a valley-girl Tarantula Mistress out of my head. Good Job!
on a similar vein, I should really enable logging, so that I can capture for prosperity some of the more humorous flavor text I have seen in game.

Oh, definitely. I've been loving the little in-jokes -- like the dialogue between the purse-snatchers and their victims in Atlas.

Seelepanzer found one of the King's Row 'snatchers' holding his prize and cackling 'Mine, it's mine, it's mine now' over it like Gollum and his Precious.
I laughed my ass off.

Some of my favorite chatter has been the Skull & Hellion Girlfriends.

Eh. Best line still comes from Nemesis in CoH:

Yeah, that definitely is still my favorite. The first time I saw that, I was glad I was stealthed, because I laughed helplessly for a good full minute.
I believe that's also the mission where you get the temp Nemesis Staff.

It's the staff mission, yes. And that happened to me too. Except I wasn't stealthed, aggro'd them...and just barely managed to hit the right directional keys to run away, owing to the fact I was laughing so hard...

I stumbled across the mirror of this a few nights ago -- a couple Hellions were chatting, and one was complaining about the demands his girlfriend was making!

Heheh, I've seen that, too.
Two more good ones, recently:
Hellion girlfriend talking to another, complaining that she told her boyfriend that if he was gonna torch a building, to NOT pick the one that they lived in.
An Infected (not Contaminated) in Atlas, saying "Hey.... this... isn't.... Mercy Island...."

The two I had fun with was the skull girlfriend saying "Does this dress make me look fat? And the Skull saying "I didn't sign up for this. :-)
And of course, Mace Mac Hine met Canadian Bob red side and I had a huge laugh with that. Canadian Bob wanted Poutine eh. (For those of you not familiar with this delectable dish, it is french fries, with cheesecurds and gravy.)

Today while I was waiting for my car to get fixed (dealer has wireless access in their waiting room ), I saw a couple of Skulls in KR working on some graffitti, and the one that was spraying said "This should... this should be in a MUSEUM!"

Logged last night:
Skulls Girlfriend: So maybe you wanna go get some sodas later? I'm pretty sure my guy has some cars to blow up later.
Skulls Girlfriend: Don't we look so good with these guys? I mean, seriously!
