Okay, I gotta ask...
Okay, I gotta ask...

Has anyone read Birds of a Feather by Solid Shark? I coulda sworn someone recc'd it a while back, but I can't find the post now. I'm fifteen chapters in and I gotta wonder if the entire fic is gonna slavishly follow the original plot, except now anything cool that Kira did is either done by DiFalco or only done because DiFalco helped Kira out. Does it get better?

If you become a monster to put down a monster you've still got a monster running around at the end of the day and have as such not really solved the whole monster problem at all.

It was written in parallel to the Brothers in Arms story IIRC, which also starts weakly but improves along with his writing. There are divergences, including many more bad guys than in SEED.

... or, if you want a simple answer? Not really, it doesn't.
At one point or another I went through the whole thing, and wished I hadn't wasted the time on it. Unfortunately, discounting what Nate and Drake write, there really isn't any good SEED material out there that I know of.

Respect Between Enemies is most definitely worth a look. The author's other fic is a Seed/Wing crossover that shows all the same hallmarks in terms of worldbuilding and characterisation, but includes elements not everyone might care for.

Okay thanks, no more of that fic for me. At least now I have a very good object lesson in how not to do an OC.
Instead, I shall check out Valles link.--
