Obviously you've not kept up with the SciFi Channel lineup...

Nope.
The thing is, I know it's real -- there's an IMDB page for it. I was just wishing it weren't. -- Bob --------- Then the horns kicked in... ...and my shoes began to squeak.
Yeah, I know Bob, I saw the trailer and could not believe it.
I was shocked, horrified and strangely compelled. An uncomfortable sensation not unlike farting and sneezing simultaneously. Lorenzo Lamas and Debbie Gibson in the same film? Nothing prepares you for the sublime ridiculous of such a thing - and it does not have to hint of WTF art that Uwe Boll brings to his casting (The what is Ben Fuck-Mothering Kingsley doing in this film sensation). Given the two leads, I suspect that the height of acting in this film will come from the CGI cephalopod and shark. The sad part is, they are not going to have to work hard to reach this goal.
The thing I've noticed about much of SciFi's "Original Productions" is that they are (in most cases) incredibly bad. YMMV on whether they're so bad
they're good, or so bad they're horrible. For me, it's firmly the latter (again, in most cases).
The massive laughter for me started when the shark took a bite out of the Golden Gate.
I fell out of my chair laughing when the Airliner was knocked out of the sky. This is so incredibly stupid it could be an instant classic. Call the Mads! We have to send this one up to the Satellite of Love! STAT!!!
However, there is now also a new Mini Story set in the SI universe. I recommend heading over and checking it out.
Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky? That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry- NO QUARTER!!! -- "No Quarter", by Echo's Children |
