They had a bug at launch where the rares were randomly unslotting themselves. The patch is probably to correct that, post haste.

I really should go over to the COH site and check for myself, but are these all different things Incarnates need to do, or 4 opportunities for the Well to Notice you in a row?

AFAIK, its 4 opportunities.
Also, if you have completed a strike target, you get double xp/merit reward tokens. So who is up for a Doc Q (240 glorious merits)?
on further review, completing a strike target each week you get a choice of one of three things:
1) the notice of the well salvage
2) merits
3) the normal taskforce/strikeforce rewards
This is in addition to bonus merits for just completing it. So only the Strike targets get double merrits, and only if you chose the merit rewards. Otherwise you get merits + something else, rather than merits + merits.

That doesnt quite feel right. As a l40 vill, I shouldnt be able to get the incarnate piece, arnt those supposed to be only for 50 incarnates? Reguardless the double merits option should drive a lot of action, as those who arnt incarnates yet but know they're gonna need the merits for their IO set needs should be jumping on them as well

Well, from what I remember happening last night on the STF, at least for level 50s:
You get Merits, and the Notice of the Well, in addition to the normal rewards. So for the STF, Emet got 37 merits, the Notice, and then a choice of the Incarnate component, Synth. Hami-O, or Reward Merits.
I don't know if the incarnate salvage (notice or component) is available to people under level 50, but we'll see at the end of the month...

Well, the ITF's Ive done have had the block for the Inc shard, but it also had red text that said 'you cantz haz' on the reward chooser screen
