Another reason for Doug to be popular at parties
12-22-2002, 09:17 AM
Hey, is it possible for Douglas to have found a full length "99 Bottles of Beer"? Would be very useful at parties I would imagine.
Couple of other song ideas
Smash Mouth - Defeat You
Bing Crosby - Pistol Packin' Mama
Seemed like something Doug could have used against the Knight Sabers.
"Oh, lay that pistol down, babe
Lay that pistol down
Pistol packin' mama
Lay that pistol down"
Jim's Big Ego - Stress
The equivalent of about a dozen cups of coffee. However it gives Doug a headache and a great deal of stress.
Frantics - Boot To The Head
Let's Doug give those annoying people a boot to the head.
"People talking in movie shows,
People smoking in bed!
People voting Republican,
Give them a boot to the head!"
SSgt Barry Sadler - Ballad of the Green Beret
Simulacra of an U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret (or however many that Doug can create and maintain) that parachutes in and can help fight.
"Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret"
-Freddy Isnot
"You are now graduated from newbie and are just clueless. Consider that a compliment."

Yeah, yeah patience. How long will that take?

But the song itself only goes for 00:01:20 so it's effectivness would be iffy. For all we know it might summon up an Ed Gruberman which could only be smited by booting him in da 'ead! Repeatedly. Till, he's road runner'ed

Hey, Freddy, welcome to the forums.
"Boot to the Head" is an old, old favorite of mine -- I've had a copy since I taped it off the Dr. Demento show back in the middle 80s; more recently, I had relatives in Canada find me the Frantics CD with that track on it.
As for what it might do, well, I think it might make Looney a lot more proficient in Savatte.

I'd been wondering about "Ballad" myself... Its one of a lot of .wav music I've got on my (now old) computer."I was an Otaku before those kids came along and changed the meaning of the word."

It's been a long time since I heard "The Ballad of the Green Berets" -- so long that I can't remember what it sounds like. I suspect, though, that it will have an effect rather similar to the one I envisioned for The Weathergirls' "It's Raining Men".

I'd been thinking for a while that "Boot" ought to deliver BTTHs to everyone within a large radius who Doug doesn't like... or has never met but wouldn't like if he had a chance to get to know them.

I can just see all these boots materializing out of thin air, and then striking in unison... swoooosh-thwomp!

Blessed be.

In the skit about the nasty old guy's will, the nice housekeeper lady is given a lifetime supply of ice cream.
On her asking what flavor it was, she's told "boot to the head". (*swoosh-THUMP*)
Blessed be.

I was wondering what the devil you were talking about, so I went and looked it up. Never heard of it before, but it looks amusing.

There are some spelling errors in that transcription, but otherwise it's a perfect copy of the original sketch. Of course, we started out with the followup sketch, "Ti Kwan Leep", which can be found here (along with sound files of the sketch and the song that follows it):
www.webguys.com/pdavis/ka...nleep.html
Anyway, the ice cream flavor thing threw me because I have two version of "Last Will and Temperment" that I listen to, and one lacks the "ice cream ending".
Oh, and just for reference's sake, the proper sound of a boot to the head is a "swoosh-bomp!"; the only fault I find with the transcription of "Ti Kwan Leep" above is that it mistranscribes the sound of a boot to the head that missed; it shouldn't sound like the others -- instead, it's just the "swoosh".

Oh, and has anyone here read the Man/Kzin wars short story about the Tnuctipun stasis capsule that gets dug up?
Pay attention to the name of the bandit captain dude. ^_^
Blessed be.

By the way, unless we're talking about their music ("Gas Station Washroom," "Heavy Metal Shop"), let's move any future discussion of the Frantics over to General Chatter, okay? Thanks.
