"Lost Boys", by Phoebe Bridgers

Lyrics

The lyrics aren't a perfect match, but with a bit of nudging, this could be a simulacrum song. The thing is, why would Doug need a simulacrum of himself?

Doug'd a pretty good generalist even if this takes up his ability to use a sibg power for both copies, and sometimes you just need another pair of hands to deal with everything you eeant done. If the simuacrum can still use a soing of their own, you get what I described in a thread a bit further back as a "Dougsplosion" until the local magic is too thin to support forming another or the newset one is quick enough to stop it playing in his helmet...

But this is a much less energetic somg, so the first fits better. Perhaps it's a variation on Doug who gave up hope of finding a way home after wandering for much longer, as an expression of the lyrics, and a reason for the sim to not mind the fact of being a temporary summon if he can help this younger version jeep his heart up?? Sim-Doug never had a song to summon himsdself, after all...
