H. Potter, Investigator for (dun dun dun) the BUREAU
H. Potter, Investigator for (dun dun dun) the BUREAU
#1
5th year or Controlling to Cartoon Evil Dumbledore setup, he (or Toad in 5th yr) becomes very concerned because Harry's been sending and recieving a lot of messages to a group identified on as (dun dun dun) the BUREAU. Worse still, he seems to be recruiting for (dun dun dun) the BUREAU from his fellow students, holding meetings where they brew or prepare various substances and consume them, acting secretive and occasionally giddy in a shared-secrets-aren't-we-clever sort of way, etc. Various hijinx involving attempts to spy on (dun dun dun) the BUREAU and/or infiltrate the group ensue, until the climax when it's revealed that the BUREAU (dun dun dun) is actually the Banannalogical Understanding Research Education Appreciation & Utilization club, and they've been designing an entire meal of bananna dishes to have the House Elves serve on April First, or some wizarding version of All Fools' Day, or just to lighten things up around exam time. (Dun dun daaAAaaAA!) Obviously, this is oneshot or filler chapter material.

Until the next term, when they ignore all the messages going to and from the DESK (dun dun dun) until they learn that's an acronym for Demonic Entity Summoning Klub...

Well, I don't understand any of the references, so no comment here. I just had a random thought while reading this, of someone dropping a home theater setup with magically enchanted power supply and a 52" plasma screen with satellite hookup in the main hall.
Given how clueless they seem to be about anything outside of the magical community, it would take them days to figure out how to use it. After that though, between the girls wanting to watch soap operas and the guys wanting to watch sports, the fun would *really* start!

While we're on the subject, it seems obvious that a later chapter in this tale would have to be "The Lion, The Witch and the WARDROBE (Wizarding Authority Regarding Dragon-Riding Over British Environs)".
