Damning With Faint Praise Indeed...

#26
Full context. Remember, like I said in an earlier post. Cinema mostly full of teenage girls. Then you've got these two guys in the middle of the place...
"HOLY F**K, HE HAS BISHOUNEN SPARKLES!"
"Yeah."
"How the F**K does that even WORK?"
"The book says he has tiny diamonds in his skin."
"...so he turns to fairy dust in sunlight, instead of just dust? Whoo."
"Hey. Dust...yeah, maybe you're right. That might be the joke."
"Or one hell of a skin condition."
"It's like shoujo wings. He does the 'see, I'm a monster' thing, she does the 'no you're pretty' thing...there, see."
"She just loves the shiny."
"SHIiiiiiiIIIIIIIINNY!"
"This scene is kinda creepy."
"Yeah---hey, y'know, the guy who plays Edward could be a young Joker."
"Nah, doesn't have the voice."
"But the face. Look at his face - it's all white and pale now, look, see?"
"Why so serious, Bella?"

...yeah, we weren't very nice to the girls next to us. =P

I could agree with that for a lot of things, but for Twilight, I'm not so sure. The series comes up fairly often on fanficrants, and from what I hear there's a lot of *really* skeevy things the main characters do that are getting treated as oh-so-romantic by some readers. And they need to know that these things aren't romantic, they're skeevy, or they might end up in a bad situation.

-Morgan. People go gaga over Twilight, and Moonlight got cancelled? There is no justice!
