It was going to be my NaNoWriMo work this year but the kind people who helped me brainstorm it didn't want to wait that long.
Oh well, if I write 50,000 words of it in November, that's probably good enough.

Duke Togo is the name of the eponymous assassin from the Golgo 13 anime and manga. He specialises as sniper with a reputation for making impossible shots and
is widely accepted to be the best hitman in existence with a rifle (usually an M-16). He's also got a lightning fast draw and can handle himself very well
unarmed. Golgo 13 is also a coldhearted bastard who takes jobs from anyone, although his reputation occasionally gets him bizarrely challenging jobs such as
shooting a specific moving violin string while said violin is being played in front of an audience and without hurting the violinist.

It cost him 1 disobediant officer and saved him several mechs that would have charged into an ambush and taken heavy damage. And this way, Hutchingson's
mech can probably be fairly easily 'repaired' and given to another warrior.
They expect the Inner Sphere warriors to fight dirty, a reckless leader is not a good thing.

Well it was a simulated kill... so Hutchinson is still alive to learn from his mistake.
The question he (and the other Alpha Galaxy officers) must ask is: would Duke Togo have done the same with a live weapon?

More like they need to believe that he would have done the SAME to anyone ELSE who's more interested in glory than discipline, live weapon or no. And I
think it safe to say that this bloke is going to be demoted back to the support galaxies.

Sadly, he was quite correct. No _two_ battallions would be able to overcome the force they were assigning to the region. Not his fault that there far more than
2 battallions coming at them.

Nice last installment drak...the action kinda reminds me of VII Corps vs the Iraqi Republican Guard...but at least these guys are more competent.

Well, figured I'd tempt fate and brag that in the last seven days I've written a staggering 21,000 words (okay, not that impressive for some but for me
it's a lot) for Star Adder Symphony.
That's the end of one chapter, another full chapter and core sections for a third chapter which still has gaps to fill in. Hopefully I can do a lot of that
this weekend before I go back to work.
