"There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon;

I think I gotta stop eating there at noon.

They can serve you cat and you'll never know,

Once they fry it up in dough, boys,

They fry it real crisp in dough." (Apologies to Harry Chapin)

Sorry, but all these "Moon" rhymes just brought that back to the surface after ten or so years.

I, uh, I didn't come up with this one, so please don't kill me:

Someone who is NOT ME Wrote:Narrator: Who are the Mythbusters? Naruto Uzumaki.

(Scene of several Naruto clones being burned to death horribly.)

Naruto: Oh man, I am having way too much fun with this...

Narrator: Shino Aburame.

(Shot of Shino in a wetsuit)

Shino: I feel kind of sexy...

Narrator: Between them, more than ten years of experience in pranks, jutsus and high explosives.

(Naruto examining an irate Sasuke's eyes with a magnifying glass.)

Naruto: Spin, damn you!

Narrator: Joining them, Iruka Umino.

(Iruka lying under some debris)

Iruka: Ugh... Yeah... Perfectly safe kids...

Narrator: Tenten Tsume.

(Shot of Tenten with pigtails making kissy faces at a dummy head)

Tenten: For good luck, Buster!

Narrator: And Kiba Inuzuka.

Kiba: *grin* I'm here for the food, explosions, and chicks.

Narrator: They don't just tell the myths-They put them to the test!

The problem is coming up with appropriate Naruto Verse myths and Kishimoto-"tech" tests for them.

"Simple chemical explosives can create a weapon capable of killing Sannin-level ninja."

Hm... all the ones I can think of involve S-rank jutsus, bloodline limits, and highly-classified crap in general. ANBU and Root would be trying to shut this
show down with extreme prejudice. Smile

At least that was filled with passion... Rock Band: Vulcan, on the other hand, was technically perfect but too emotionless to be really enjoyable.

I can on up that... make it a public access show and have them keep getting urban legends from Leaf. (Takes place in the mess after Sasuke runs off, while
teams have gapping holes in them) Starting with several letter observing that 'Even though the Clan has one member in Leaf left... one who insists on
killing his blatantly more compitant and powerful (youngest ANBU captain and all... plus clan slayer) brother with methods (phrasement due to who this
anonyomous letter came from) reminiscent of a sucidial lemming that is severely over caffinated. That he promisses to restore his clan later is of no concern
as he'd have to have between 30 and 50 breeders to warrent the district the Uchiha still have... and this method would take decades to matter anyway.
Considering a million other things they got away with... Urban Legend: The Uchiha have a mind control devise and constantly use it. (The merchant hate having
all that land, serveral square blocks, tied up for one guy... one who just went rogue).

The episode actually involves Shino, with bugs, and Naruto, with a huge amount of clones, scowering the now abandoned discrict. Despite Shino's bugs
randomly eating Naruto's clones and them finding random traps they eventually find this devicse. Then to prove or disprove it working use it on the
counsil to make 'Free Ramen Day' which allows you to turn in dated receits for full refunds from the government and the Aburma finally getting to do
that Bug parade through downtown they've been trying to get to years. The device is promptly hidden and as the counsil declares it illegal to look for.
No one is quite sure if this is because they got mind controlled into doing so or if they just don't want it to have someone they think isn't an idiot
to have it. MYTH: Confirmed and subverted. (In later episodes the use the device to bribe other ninja to help complete other myths studies.)

A later myth involves the Urban Legend that ANBU is totally oblivios... siting them missing the 3 headed snake that is taller than the village walls, until it
smashed through said wall during the invasion, and how they missed a proto-genin in neon orange spending several hours of daylight painting the moutain... the
one you can see from everywhere in the village... and then couldn't catch him. Five minutes of actual ivestigation reveal that it was random chunin on the
wall that missed the snakes and Naruto arguing the neon orange is actually a very stealthly color. Naruto continueing to insist he can be very stealthly when
he bothers to be. No, he can't actually provide a recent example on public TV as those are classified (the whole forbidden scroll thing and all)... so he
resorts to tell of his past pranking exploits... and ends up managing to sneak around in ANBU head quarters with a camera crew of clones and repeating the
infamous 'replace real coffee with decaff insident with another test case were he leaves the coffee alone, but fills the trash with empty decaff bags.

Results are 'ANBU is oblivious' Myth inconclusive... mostly due to another myth involved 'Neon orange is a really steathly color', which is
also inconclusive... and one inexplicablely confirmed that Naruto IS actually distrurbingly stealth when he wants to be.

The next episode is done from within an undiclosed location in the sewers, ANBU + decaff apparently equals lynch mob. Not only does it include the min-Myth of
'Naruto is actually 'hundreds of feet tall demon', which a helpful Kiba sneaks up behind Naruto with a 6 foot measuring stick and sign that says
'Remember folks he is wearing sandals.' and under it 'Disproved he is SHORT!' While Kiba is chased by Naruto, Shino calmly reads off a myth
about Danzo having a secret illegal branch of ANBU of his own... they manage to break into his house, after they figure who this 'Danzo' is but only
find circumstantial evidense before sneaking out. This makes Danzo extremely paranoid... by episode three they manage to be sent only myths that get them sent
outside the village.

At this point a Naruto, Shino, Tenten team end up bandit hunting and take the opportunity to test the ninja can be killed with chemical explosives myth... but
only get a B-class one... the A rank one was a clone. No one quite knows how to react to Tenten having a scroll filled with 'Busters' with her... its
even part of her standard equipment.

Tenten and Nono... eep!

Or am I thinking of the wrong sort of "Busters"?

'Buster' is the name given to the often doomed to mangling test dummies on MythBusters. Tenten has a stockpile for weapons testing or something.
I'm drawing a blank on your reference.

Kids these days... Ever heard of an animation studio named GAINAX? GunBuster was one of their earliest series.

Alas, http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/pic ... uster1.jpg]these http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/pic ... uster3.jpg]images do nothing to show the sheer size of the original GunBuster.

Is there a hi-def version of that image floating around somewhere? Be nice to get at least some definition on the littlest ones in the corner.
