Uhuh. And Applejack in the green suit. The real question is, Pinkie Pie or Fluttershy as Nene? I kind of lean toward Flutterhacker, myself. Even non-AI computers obey THE STARE.

With six versus four main characters, though, I guess Rarity has to be cast as the famous musician on tour in Japan early. Pinkie, being Pinkie, can just be around and freinds with them all because she's Pinkie. And possibly still a pony instead of human, and no one thinks this is strange. Well, not for Pinkie.

Instead, it was a little, pale pink pony, with brighter hair, and huge eyes in a happy squint that matched the wide grin. "I'm Pinkie Pie, and I'm sure we'll be great friends!"

Bizarre coincidence: I was reading the BGC/Pony brainstorming here last night and on the drive up from my folk's place I started pondering that precise premise for BGC. A story told from Priss' point of view where a magical accident transports BGC!Twilight Sparkle to their world (straight into Sylia's living room, I was thinking), wearing a pony-form Hard Suit. She's unconscious, giving the Sabers ample time to crack her out of her Hard Suit (and make sure they're not dead/injured from the blast of light and sound). The suit gives Sylia a mild fit once she has a chance to analyze it because it's systems are powered by a source she can't find (re: magic). Twilight herself gives them a surprise since, although definitely equine, her facial features are much more humanoid looking than an actual pony's. And she's freakin' purple. And has a horn. Priss may think she's tripping. ("That's weird, I thought I'd stopped eating shrooms years ago" or something like that.) Nene, of course, has always wanted a pony.

And then Twilight wakes up and starts talking. They can't understand each other, she casts a language spell and suddenly she's speaking fluent Japanese to them. And eventually people calm down, Mackie makes everyone drinks and goggles at the talking purple pony and Twilight tells them about her Knight Sabers and the world she came from.

I'm still mentally chewing over how to fuse BGC and MLP:FiM. Boomers are easy enough, make them pony-form. How does a corporation like GENOM exist if Princess Celestia is around? I think, somehow, the princess needs to be neutralized in some manner in order for the megacorp to be as powerful/evil as in the series. What if she takes the place of Katsuhito Stingray? Creator of the boomers, dies tragically (how do you kill Celestia?), bequeaths her knowledge to Twilight Sparkle. Luna, having just prior been freed from Nightmare Moon, is still weak and recovering, which gives opportunists the chance to tear down the ancient monarchy and install a new government more "friendly" to the likes of GENOM. Luna goes into hiding, and upon her eventual recovery rounds up Twilight and the rest of the EoH and the MLP!Knight Sabers are formed.

There are holes that need ironing out, but it's a jumping point. Thoughts?

The Discord tihng went worse than canon.. he did something perhaps not technically fatal but inconveiniently close to permanent (Maybe banished her to a sundog for a thousand years?) before Twi managed to re-awaken her freinds and take him out with the Element artifacts, the rest like you said, but call the Equestria version the Cavalry Sabers. You could stick that Blueblood prick in the role of Mason (Or as Quincy, perhaps with Trixe as his Madigan) perhaps?It makes the the thing rely on happening kind of fast, but if the less reality-breaking of Discord's changes couldn't be reversed without Celestia's power, for example if hadnling both sun and moon was barely within Luna's abilities leaving nothing to spare for more general changes, anything that brought order out of the chaos would be at least some kind of improvement even if after a few years it turned out more adjustments were eeded. THis would also give Spike time to reach mid-teens-equivalent to match up to Mackie.

The author describes it as a pseudo-sequel to their previous fic http://www.equestriadaily.com/2011/07/s ... f-map.html and it's not entirely necessary to have read the latter*. A word of caution: either the author has not seen Luna Eclipsed, or this was mostly written before that episode aired. This Luna bears little resemblance to canon!Luna. Also, there are some funky phrases and metaphors that shouldn't have gotten past a pre-reader. That said, thus far this is a great adventure yarn with some seriously cool stuff like the massive clockwork mechanism Celestia used to move the moon when Luna was banished.

*As of the first chapter, anyhow.
