Somedays I think I've seen the extent of how vindictive the internet can be, and then something like this comes along to remind me that no, it can be a lot worse.

Some weeks back device heretic, the author of Eternal, went on a drunken bender and basically acted like a sh*thead on FiMChan in the Twilestia thread. He apologized the next day for his behavior, but it's like a case of the dog that won't go away now and people have been harassing him seven days to Sunday. And now http://www.fimfiction.net/blog/10077.

An author of this caliber really doesn't deserve any of this crap.

Eternal will be re-uploaded by the end of today, but both device heretic and Varanus (of Composure fame, who was heavily involved in the later stages of Eternal) are taking extended breaks from the fandom in the wake of this and other IRL concerns.

Christ-on-a-cracker, sometimes I really hate people.
