Interesting little thing from Equestria Daily

Twilight Sparkle screwed up a spell, and you find yourself randomly in Applejack's barn with a bag of 1000 bits.  Nopony is around, and it looks like it's mid-day.  Twilight herself is completely unaware of the accidental space-time tearing, so it's up to you to introduce yourself!
How do you go about incorporating yourself into Equestrian society?
Note: You are not a pony.

Hmmm, probably flee the farm first, then find Fluttershy.

If anypony will take pity on some lost stranger, it's her.

Then after that... I have no idea, have crazy adventures till I can find a way home?

What would you do?

Well, first off, assuming there is no language barrier, find Twilight and explain that I've somehow been transported from my home to here, and try to see if it is possible to establish some sort of communication link back with Earth, so I can tell my family that I'm still alive. After that, play things by ear.
