I've got a pretty strong one, in the form of a single name.

L-sama.

I saw that, thought "Lord of Nightmares?  DEFINITELY Should Not Be.", then remembered the whole cross-over aspect of the thread.
Got halfway through the previous page, looking for some context, before what you were actually suggesting hit me.
For the record, that one Should Be.

Uh... Huh. Well, I don't really hear anything, but I can see a contrail forming, way way up in the sky... I think it must be your reference.

Well, unless it's supposed to be the Librarian, fuzzy orange god of L-Space?

Or that guy who's in a war of wits with Light Yagami...

But I have no idea what the crossover is, either.

The Lord of Nightmares (sometimes shortened to "L-sama") is the creator of the four staffs in the Sea of Chaos (which is also her- she's... *complicated*), upon each of which rests a world.  One of those worlds is the setting for SlayersLost Universe is technically not set in the same cosmology, but sort of works as an alternate version of one of the other three worlds, since a lot of names and terms are shared between the two.
So, if you wanted to be pedantic, it's about 1.3 crossovers.

L-sama isn't complicated. She's yog-sothoth-chan, that's all.

(Hmm, has she appeared in Nyaruko yet?)

Yes, it's Slayers / Death Note. Sorry for being so terse; I thought I might have to explain the Death Note side of things (though I hoped not, as the delivery has more impact that way), but it honestly didn't occur to me that people might not recognize the Slayers component.
