*inspired by Drogn's capitalization*
The Question to Life, the Universe, and Everything turns out to be in the teachings of a certain, faceless vigilante in Hub City and/or his successor in Gotham. A combination of Randist thought and conspiracy theories, it leaves most of the mice with migraines.

Due to a translation error on the playbill, the Sailor Senshi mount a full-out assault on a Metallica concert in Tokyo... at the same time Nephrite shows up to seize the "Metallic Crystals" the band members must obviously have. The ensuing Metalocalypse (see what I did there?) amounts to a mashup of Sailor Moon with Brutal Legend (with maybe a bit of "Legend of Black Heaven" (aka "Kacho O-ji")) on the side.
Also, the Royal Lunar Hairstyle turns out to be Really Good for headbanging in the mosh pit.

Pretty much any dungeon-crawl RPG and Lord of the Rings, because then you'd end up going up against a bronze Gollum.

I wonder sometimes if the Lodoss Wars anime soundtrack was ever released as an LP. Then it really would be a Record of Lodoss Wars.

I was reading Aeon Entelechy Evangelion (finally) and, at one point in Ch. 10, Shinji reacted in a way that immediately put me in mind of Arnold J. Rimmer (I don't know why; Entelechy!Shinji is not much like Rimmer).
Then I thought: what if Shinji WAS like Rimmer, EXACTLY like him? Then I realized that this would make the show terrible. And here we are.
Two great tastes that go great together!

Besides Misato, Ritsuko, Maya and Asuka throwing themselves at his feet, that is.

Slaters/Naruto "But wait," you say, "What's so bad about that? They'd actually fit pretty well overall."
Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun/Rock Lee, OTP. They'd actually fit pretty well overall, and *that is what's so bad about it.*

It was the dawn of the Third Age of Mankind, and the First Age of AIs, ten years after the Human-Boomer War...

We've secretly replaced Arthur Dent with Harvey Dent. Let's see whether anyone notices.

They're both princesses in semi-exile. They're both wizards who specialise in ice magic. They both hang around with brash red heads. They're both traumatised by what happened to their mothers.
Naga the White Serpent (Slayers) and Tabitha (Zero No Tsukaima)
They really don't have much in common, do they?

Perhaps that's where Naga vanished off to between the movies and TV series - summoned to Halkegenia?
ETA- Today, we've replaced Kara Thrace with Kara Zor-El. Let's see if the Cylons notice!

You mean the mazoku Dynast Bras? ... Is that canon? I remember she had some kind of epilogue cameo in one of the 45min 'movies' with a kingdom of intelligent octpopuses, now that I think about it, but it's one of those with a dubious place in the timeline...

He kidnaps princesses. All the time.
Naga is a princess. You can do the math.

(can't see whatever that was)
(googles)
(assumes it's something from a crappily drawn modern cartoon from most common results)
I, er, haven't even owned a TV since 1999... and MLP is the only western animation I've watched a full ep of since BtAS became Batman & Robin...
Anyway! It's time for the Redhead Convention! Ranma-chan, Lina Inverse, Kei (orig DP) Kirche, Aikawa Maki, Elle Regu, Asuka, Mai Midori & Nao, Nene, MKR Hikaru, Nanoha Signum & Vita, Jung Freud, Cutey Honey, A-Ko...
What could go wrong?

I'd include Grandis Granva and Youko Littner in that list of fiery-haired ones. And then you
could cross it with Gryphon's "should
not be" idea for a story with Keri Byron and Amelia Pond.
*shudder*

When Hermione goes to collect her parents after the war, she discovers that Wendell & Monica Wilkins have adopted Cody, an inventive young boy who has recently become obsessed with rumors of a beast called Donkegin living in a nearby lake (HP/Frog Dreamings aka The Quest)
The female lead, Wendy (played by Tamsin West) has always been my mental model for Hermione, actually...
ETA And just too late, I realise this was the wrong thread, I meant to put in Crossovers That Should Be.

This thread on the SJGames Forums, just getting started as of this posting. (And, yes, I've already copied over post #254 from this thread.)

So, I happened to be looking at a copy of Brave at work a while back, and I thought to myself, "Why not fill the FSN servant classes with girls from Disney animated series?"
Archer would, obviously be Merida. Rider, Vannellope von Scheweetz. Assassin, Violet Parr. Caster... I suppose if you handwave a bit you could fit Queen Clarion in there.
I can't think of anyone particularly suitable for Saber, Lancer, or Berserker though.
-Morgan.
