This one stars Lyra, BonBon, and Spike.
The story is now complete and posted to Fimfiction, for those without Spacebattles accounts. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/2857/12 ... s-of-vanya

Winning, and the pitfalls therein has two new chapters up. To recap, "A collection of One-shots in which our heroes don't have any epic fights with villains, and simply allow the power of logic to crush all of the hopes and wishes of the would-be rulers of Equestria."
----------
No, I don't believe the world has gone mad. In order for it to go mad it would need to have been sane at some point.

Re: winning and pitfalls
This is golden, and I wish there were more villians of this caliber (so we could have more chapters).

Just an Everyday Princess has more than doubled in length since the last time I checked on it.
Recap: After the coronation, Twilight returns to Ponyville with an entourage made up of the four hoofmadens and four guard ponies that were part of her procession durring the coronation. They have a hard time adjusting to the insanity that is endemic in Ponyville and tends to surround Twilight and her friends no matter where they go.
Forewarning: The author puts more emphasis on humor than logic for this story, so there is some idiot ball juggling over the course of the story to keep the gags coming.

A post more than two weeks after the last doesn't count as a double post, does it?

I honestly can't recall if these have been recced before, but I'd like to recommend The Traveling Tutor and the Librarian and its sequel, The Traveling Tutor and the Diplomats Daughter, both of which are now complete. The first is a romantic comedy, and the second picks up a few months after the first left off. Both are by the same author of Monster in the Twilight, so if you've been following that, you know the level of quality you'll be getting. (They aren't nearly as action packed, but then again, they are Romantic Comedies, not dramatic adventures, like MitT is.)
Edit:
I'd also like to rec The Dusk Guard: Rise. The basic gist is that, in the wake of the changeling invasion, the Princesses called a former guard out of retirement, and tasked him with assembling a crack team of ponies with disparate skills and backgrounds from across Equestria. This takes up the majority of the first arc/act of the story. The second act, just now completed, begins getting into their first mission(s).
The cast is almost entirely OCs, but they are very well fleshed out, and Viking ZX, the author, does a good job of making them all feel real and alive.
