Peanuts animator Bill Melendez dies at 91. (He also worked on some of the 1940s-era Bugs Bunny shorts.)

Sad beagle time...

Oh, wow, another three-in-a-row, counting the actor who played Lord Bowler in Brisco County. I thought we beat the crap out of that little shit with a Death Note and took away his toys...

Shock: Aaughh!

Denial: This is an outrage! I demand a recount! I demand restitution!

Anger: Rats!

Acceptance: * Sigh *

(Quoted from Mark Tatulli's comic strip Heart of the City on the event of Charles Schulz's death.)

91 years old. That's a good long life. And he accomplished a lot.

So I guess I mourn less for his sake then for my own. As that's another one of the icons of my youth slipping away. This has been an incredibly bad year
for this sort of thing. And I had to attend a funeral this past Saturday of a good friend of mine who was a big part of the circle of Anime fandom that got
Project Akon started back in the 80s-90s. So this has been on my mind of late.
