Meanwhile, our pumpkin has been providing noshes to the local squirrels, as evidenced by the huge freakin' holes they've gnawed in it. I've decided that next year, I'm going to let them do all the work for me by painting every part of the pumpkin I want untouched with something that tastes nasty, and letting them chew the design in.
