Not a Happy Camper Right Now...

About three hours ago, I was in an auto accident. I'm not hurt, but the front bumper of my car is almost entirely torn off. (The other guy got part ofhis front fender stoved in, but it's not really bad compared to our car.) Fortunately it's still drivable.

Right now I am still coming down off of post-adrenaline shakes, and I've done everything I can with my insurance company. I'm annoyed at myself,
I'm annoyed that I won't be able to see a claims adjuster until Monday, and I'm just generally emotionally unsettled.

I feel like going into City of Heroes and shooting something. Lots of somethings. With full auto.

Be careful, even a light vehicular incident can leave you battered and bruised and unaware of it until later.
Don't be too surprised if you find yourself angry and in some discomfort.

Glad to hear about the lack of major injuries.
And burning stress on bits is definitely a better plan than physical things.

		GAH!
Damn, Bob! I'm glad to know you weren't badly hurt, but man that sucks!

I'll be most happy to help you participate in the blasting of bits and bytes for stress relief, though.

Thanks, everyone. Right now, everything is in the hands of my insurance carrier. And Monday morning I take the car to the body shop for an estimate and anappointment. At the moment, the only thing I have to do is brood and have dreams about accidents. (Which is why I'm up so early on a Saturday morning.)

Thanks, Amanda. I don't think it's quite that bad, certainly nothing at all to compare to your experience. I'm just still a little shaken up,that's all. And that seems to be passing.

Came into this late, but I understand this one. I got in a wreck back at the beginning of September, and spent most of that day wound up and agitated and most
of the next day with a stress headache. I hope you get a good prognosis from the adjuster.

		I did, thank you.
Final tally as of the end of the day today: about $2300, $500 of which is my deductible. I'm scheduled to drop off the car a week from today (the 17th),
and it'll take just shy of a week to finish. I should get it back either Friday (21) afternoon or Saturday (22).

 So, basically, yay.
