Can someone Cliff's Notes this movie for me? What on earth did I just watch?

I discovered that, yeah, but even so... I'm just looking for an explanation of what's happening in _this_ movie; I don't mind not knowing the

ahh, I can't help you with that. It's been far too long since I've seen it to try and inject some sense into that movie.

I have suggestion (kinda)
By any chance have you played any of the White Wolf Role Playing Games? (Werewolf, Vampire: The Masquerade,etc...) It feels the base rules were adapted to Nightwatch. Not to mention it was a good read at the time... _____ DEATH is Certain. The hour, Uncertain... 
Go find the English translation of Nightwatch. The two movies are based on the first and second sections of the first book of the trilogy. It makes
