The Humble Indie Bundle (games)
The Humble Indie Bundle (games)
#1
I don't know how long the promotion will last, but it's in support of indie game developers, the Child's Play charity, and the EFF.
Pay what you want, no more.  Five games.  No DRM.
Sold!  (Can't wait 'til I'm off work.  World of Goo!)

Edit: apparently the deal is only happening for a week, with 6 days left on the clock at this point.
Edit 2: and all five games are cross-platform, fully supported on Windows, Mac, and Linux.  Yay!

Addendum:

Following interest by another developer, there is now a sixth game in the bundle (Samorost 2).

If you've already bought the bundle it doesn't cost any extra.

Another addendum:

Owing to them reaching (& exceeding) a specific target ($1,000,000) the Bundle has been extended by 3-4 days, so if you missed it earlier....

Also, all of the original bundle except World of Goo are going open source...

I just heard of it today when they where open sourcing it, which has caused me to also lay down some money for it. (Well that and the fact that i need to run up credit card debt on multiple cards in order to improve my credit score and get a mortgage. WTF is wrong with you Americans? Also why do some of my cards have a limit so high I could buy a car on them? Crazy American system, no wonder you have a financial crisis.)
E: "Did they... did they just endorse the combination of the JSDF and US Army by showing them as two lesbian lolicons moving in together and holding hands and talking about how 'intimate' they were?"
B: "Have you forgotten so soon? They're phasing out Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

Heh. I was already planning to buy into this (and hadn't been aware of how limited the available time was), and the "going open source" thing is just one more reason for me not to keep postponing it.

(And don't get me started about credit card credit limits. They keep raising mine, when I've never used even close to half of it; I'd much rather they lower the interest rate instead, and it'd probably be better for them too since I'd be more likely to actually carry a balance that way.)
