It's not my favorite Spike Jones, to be honest... and I think it's mostly a specific parody of an earlier version, recorded by Vaughn Monroe. But I haven't heard the Monroe version so I don't know for sure.
Some of the related links on there take you to some interesting versions. I have an MP3 of Debbie Harry's, but I didn't know about Peggy Lee's...

If I may post in this thread, I've been having joyous moments over Maiden's latest album, The Final Frontier. The final track on it gets even more epic when you know the film/graphic novel it's part based on.
When the Wild Wind Blows.

I can't find a YouTube version of this, so a link to an MP3 on April Winchell's site will have to do: My response to the above -- http://www.hostropolis.com/april/mp3/Fl ... s_Dots.mp3]Dots Will Echo -- Meet The Flintstones.
(And just for fun -- http://www.hostropolis.com/april/mp3/sammyhawaii5o.mp3]Sammy Davis Jr. -- You Can Count On Me (Theme from Hawaii 5-0).)

Woah. I knew that there is no spoon, but I didn't know that is no Hidden Village, is no Section 9, is no Moon Princess, and is no Revolution, either...

Plug in your headphones and then turn this on. Awesome 3d sound recording of a thunderstorm over a river.
