Yup....one acronym needed for this....
WTF, or just a well timed "Oh shit" depending on your position.

Actually that first image isn't so odd. When I was going to college and my parents moved out some friends came over, let themselves in and moved my couch and television out on to the back deck, hooked up their X-box and started playing, 'cause the weather was too nice not to. They were good enough friends, however, to help me carry the couch back inside.

I'm not seeing the WTF on the last image.
Granted, The ladder could break (depending on how well it deals with shear forces).
But aside from that happening, it looks like a stable configuration to me.

prolly just the sheer wtf of placing the ladder like that, since most people assume it cant be used like that.
Other than that your right, though I personally would worry more about loosing my footing and falling through the ladder (especially if one leg goes on either side of ... ) than the ladder shearing.

That guy in the first pic must be from the navy, who just so happens to have a sense of humor.
OR its completely fake....

In the Navy, you have to have a sense of humor just to get through the day.

That cab reminds me of a vehicle I need to get a shot of -- near the dealership where I have my Saturn serviced, there is, prominently parked so you can see it as you drive by, a stretch limousine yellow cab. I am not joking.

Yeah, that's it, Fox. Or as close to it as makes no nevermind. I should be heading that way tomorrow morning, though, so if traffic allows, I'll pull off and get a shot of it.
ETA: Thunderstorms right now, forecast to continue through tomorrow and almost into Tuesday. I won't be stopping to take a picture in that. Sorry.
