The much anticipated sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender has begun and it's awesome. Set 70 years in the future from the first series' finale, it follows the adventures of Korra, the headstrong and ripped as hell Avatar as she begins fulfilling her destiny.

Oh yeah, the city she's in is a hodgepodge of 1920's New York, Shanghai, and Vancouver with cars and zepplins and triads.

During a psuedo-Marxist revolution.

Also Polarbear Dogs.

Watch this show. It's already looking to be better than its predecessor.

Toph's daughter is exactly as I expected her to be. And the fact that Toph essentially founded the police of Republic City (go back and look at the statue on the Metalbenders' building) amuses me to no end.

And now I'm marathoning AtLA on netflix, so I have some sort of context for this sequel.

I want this cartoon on DvD when it's out
