RIP Chieko Honda

Chieko Honda played Kozue in Utena, Kurumi in Kimagure Orange Road, Nami in Silent Mobius, Amy in Gall Force, Chelsea in Riding Bean, Azusa in Ask Dr. Rin!, Tellu in Sailor Moon S, and over a hundred other roles.

She passed away on February 18.

She was one of the better seiyuu, in my opinion...

Note:  one of the listed roles she played was "Chieko Honda" in an episode of Ah! My Goddess: Flights of Fancy.  Just to clarify, that isn't necessarily an error.  There was a character by that name in one of the early manga chapters -- number 48, I believe.  I suppose somebody thought it was an appropriate casting joke to have Chieko Honda the seiyuu voice a completely unrelated Chieko Honda. 

 Forty-nine is entirely too young for someone to die, with all the medical advances we've made.
