Titanic II to set sail

Planned by Clive Palmer to be a close replica of the original ship, with modern machinery and safety standards, and unveiled there earlier today, Titanic II is expected to make her maiden transatlantic journey in 2016. Basically as a floating 1912 theme park.

Her designers said it would be the "safest cruise ship in the world."

Yeah.... they said that about the first one too....

I can't help but love Palmer's attitude. 

[Palmer] hoped construction would begin later this
year, and that the maiden voyage, recreating the trans-Atlantic crossing
of the original, would take place in 2016, he said.

I think, perhaps, that mentions of the differences in the life preserving technology during the mandatory disaster drill, or a piece of historical programming available at or near the time and location of the original sinking, would be appropriate. The ship is banking on the historical significance, and they would be remiss in addressing the differences between the ship and its predecessor.

I personally wonder if this is ever going to get off the ground.  The shipyard being asked to build T2 has never built a passenger ship before.  Doesn't that say something?

So... Is he planning to build Iceberg 2 as well?
Edit: Something I just thought of... It should be a cruise ship/submarine. That way, they can "sink" it on every excursion. It would cost a fortune, but if it's a replica 1920's luxury liner, it's already expensive.
