...is Disney's new thing, and not just a one- or two-off thing.
http://www.cnn.com/2015/01/26/entertain ... index.html]They've just announced a live-action Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle.
Wow.  Emma Watson as an overlooked bookworm who enters a world of magic, and subsequently blossoms?  Talk about a stretch.

Belle wasn't exactly an overlooked bookworm though. I mean, the town's most eligible bachelor specifically noted her to be the most beautiful woman in the area.

Admittedly, that might have something to do with how as the well read daughter of an inventor she was probably one of the town's rich people...

There's a line in the song "Belle" where one of the town's matrons remarks that it's no wonder the girl's name means "Beauty," because "she's quite beyond compare."  The chorus describes her as "a lovely but a funny girl."  Definitely not overlooked.

I just threw up a little in my mouth. I mean considering how the others have turned out... oh there it goes again...
