Argh

I got home from work tonight and my desktop machine won't boot.  It gets part-way through its startup but hangs before the BIOS kicks in.  
A little research on my tablet suggests that this may be an easy fix -- a new CMOS battery, which I will take care of tomorrow.  However, if it's not as simple as that, I may be a little scarce until I get it fixed.

And it was just the CMOS battery. Got a new one this afternoon and I'm back up and running.
