Woohoo, she ain't dead! Note that there is a warning for graphic content in this, which given that there are battle scenes...
I didn't find it very graphic myself, so I guess she managed to sanitize it fairly well, while keeping the human cost.
I think the quality is still good, and I'm marking the calender for November 17th. (Well, the 15th really, but update day seems to have been moving from Thursday in the direction of Saturday lately.)
Will probably have more when I am feeling better, and have spent more time rereading and digesting. Not to mention that I only saw the first chunk of Fire, and I would need to check the wiki anyway to check the details, in case some of the possibilities of where Vathara is going are cognate to events in canon.

Don't Look, Chapter 5
I'm having problems reading, going to need to pace myself. I identify as someone who doesn't read horror, partly because the emotional space it theoretically covers is not something I seek out.
Anyway, the writing is having a powerful enough effect on me that I wanted the breather.
(Just because I identify as something doesn't mean that I am that something. Sometimes I experience Horror as some other genre, sometimes it comes off as verisimilitude with the anxiety the real world induces in me, and sometimes I just follow a writer through it for some other reason.)
(That said, I might be in a bad enough place now that this could effect my experience. I make no promises for the effect of Don't Look on anyone else.)
