RIP Pat John, actor. Canadians my age will know him as "Jesse Jim" on The Beachcombers (one of the first TV shows to be filmed in British Columbia), where he took the "token native" role and turned it into a fully-realized and non-cliched character. Natural causes.


RIP Ripudaman Singh Malik, businessman who was acquitted of taking part in the Air India Flight 182 bombing. Murdered.
