I found another story in my archives - this one's http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... ien_%CE%A9]an Infinities piece.
I also used my handy grep program to find all the threads in my archives containing the word "Yggdrasil", so FenWiki's Most-Wanted Page should be up within a week. Watch http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Yggdrasil]this link...

Watch http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Yggdrasil]this link... Or visit it, now. Or maybe even do some cleanup - say, compile a crew list for the infobox from the data-dump in the article, for example.
Of course, now there are writeups pending for two of Yggdrasil's launches. At least there's actually a writeup for Chitty in the forum posts, but I'm going to have to pull some scattered data together for the Maple Mallard. Maybe tomorrow, if I have time.

Fine. One 1960s vision leads to a Web-analogue. My point still stands.

Friday by Heinlein has an entire chapter devoted to something that sounds very much like data mining the World Wide Web, although I suspect that Uncle Bob was basing it off of Gopher and Archie.

Let's be fair - Friday was published in 1982, and thus probably doesn't count as a 1960s vision of 2000.

Very true, but I took the rhetorical "How many others are out there?" to a broader scope.

More data-mining of my archives, this time to help blackaeronaut.
http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Pegasus]Pegasus now has her crew listed (I took the liberty of giving nameless-Hawaiian-boy a name), and http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... n_Ffoulkes]Bronwyn has a page all to herself. (Lucky girl!) I also added Bronwyn and the Bullet Boy Express to the Roughriders portal, and tossed some of BA's notes onto http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... oughriders]the Roughriders discussion page.

No problem. I had the time, the data, and the high-speed connection; why shouldn't I post them for you?
In a slightly-related note, I see all but seven of the interstellar pages are now up. Which means I'd better hurry up with that Maple Mallard writeup, so that it doesn't look hideously out-of-place on the http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?titl ... 0&offset=0]Wanted pages list (it having as many links to it as the next four wanted pages put together, not counting the interstellar pages).

I don't think so - it looks like a Yggdrasil project.

Well, that's all the interstellar pages up. Though some are a bit thin. Gliese 481 is almost non-existent as I couldn't get more than it's ARICNS data after an hour's searching.

http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Maple_Mallard]Maple Mallard's up. And, yes, Ben's involved.
Now the three most-wanted pages in the FenWiki are VVS-related: "Azu Squadron", "A Series of Unlikely Explanations", and "Frank Exchange of Views".
The next five are Prometheus-Forge-related: "Leonard da Quirm", "Roberta", "Eddie", "Julian Bashir", and "Ki".
Then we get to entries that anybody can work on : "Life Support Technology", "Hogwarts", "Hogsmeade", and "PS 238"...

Oh, I know. I just mentioned they were your pages so nobody else would think taking the first link on the list was a good idea.

I believe it's a "feature" in the wiki software.

You should be able to alter or banish the donation-begging message through some config file or other; other Wikimedia Projects have Project-appropriate messages, and many other MediaWikis I've seen don't have one at all.

Because of an email conversation with RL|Mal and my current re-watching of Uchuu no Stellvia, I've seriously fleshed out http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Beta_Hydri]the Beta Hydri page.
And I've tossed a couple of Easter Eggs onto the Stellvian areas of the FenWiki as well. (Thanks for the assist there, Mal!) Edit: Including http://www.fenspace.net/index.php5?title=Ultima]a new Fenspace Infinities location.
