Hey, I've only been gone about 6 months. Thought it was longer than that...
Now, do I have my sig working again?

And this time the custom title works right. It only took me three freakin' tries to think to go look and see what I did to make all the other line-breaking titles work...

I wonder if there's any way to set up a random-quote database for a sigfile. It'd make my life just that little bit easier if I could just dump every Tick quote I know into one place and let the computer sort it out instead of typing or cut-and-pasting a different one every time...

Sadly, not that I know of. Otherwise I'd do it. I have over 2 and half megs of quotes that I would happily randomize...

There's gotta be something out there. One of my most favorite games of all time, Scorched Earth, had a similar feature. You had an attack quote file, and a death quote file. Whenever someone attacked, the program would randomely select one of the lines from the attack file. Same with the death file when a tank blew up. Needless to say, this feature led to many a howling good time...

The next couple messages are a sig comparison. This is the original sig...

...and this is the revised sig (no table coding). Hope they come out on the same page!
(btw - anyone notice the forum will only let you send 1 message in a 60 second period?)
ETA - a couple tweaks, but I think Rob Kelk broke the code and made a winner!
My next sig test project - find the file where the owl's background is transparent (I know I have it someplace...)
ETA2 - now with transparent gif (and yes, the owl symbol means something - but it's sure not related to my avatar image)
