Task Force Friday: Manticore
Task Force Friday: Manticore
#1
Manticore's TF: level 30-35, requires a team of 7.

10 missions (Crey), 1 AV: Hopkins (Countess Crey's bodyguard).

Friday, teams at 7pm Eastern and 7pm Pacific.

I think we all know the drill.

There as also been the suggestion of doing Lady Grey, not sure which one will get more votes.

It doesn't matter to me, as I have done both on my badge collecting characters.

Mm. If I can get Beach Baby levelled to 30, I'll be up for this. Otherwise, I have no one who'll qualify.

Same boat for me as for Bob, unless I can get William Bishop III up to 30 before then... not likely, given my post-vacation schedule this week.

Bump - I don't think we can support both LGTF and Manticore this friday.

Well, count me out for this Friday anyway -- I just discovered that somehow I've skipped a week, and as such, my schedule, she is not what I thought. I
won't be available until *at least* 9:00pm Pacific this Friday, so unless we've got enough interest for a third TF run (at whatever), it ain't
happenin' for me. [Image: smile.gif]

*Next* Friday is when I'll be available at 7:00... this one, not so much.

Okay, Beach Baby hit 30 last night. She's ready if we do this instead of Lady Grey.

I'm pretty much of the mind set "Just tell me what, when, where and what suit to wear and I'll be there." when it comes to the Legendary TFs.
Planned or unplanned. Legendary does more active sg stuff like tfs/sfs, fight nights and general 'hey lets go do this!' whatnot. To be honest I'd
rather suffer long tfs and team wipes with ya'll than a random PuG anyhow, the company's just better around here. So yeah... I don't mind going
through the same TF three or for times at all. Whichever time I'm needed I'll pop onto whichever toon would best fit the team regardless of having the
badge already or not. The Legendary is just that cool.

Running both Lady Grey and Manticore TFs would require 15 people. The level requirements (45 and 30, respectively) may make it harder to assemble full teams
than the last few weeks, but I don't think it's impossible if we have good turnout.

I'll be running Manticore at 7pm Pacific. If the Eastern group(s) would rather run Lady Grey, that's fine by me. But I've only got one character in
the 45+ range and Badb's already done LGTF.

There is currently a bug in Lady Grey which allows 35s to take part in the SF, if they're SK'ed before the leader starts the TF.

Beach Baby's staged for Manticore right now, standing near him in Bricks. If I'm at the computer at 10 PM, she'll be ready to join the fun.

I hope things went well Friday. I was waylaid by a migraine, and even if I'd been on time, I doubt I'd have been much use.

Smashingly! We had only one pick up person 'Dark Indigo' I believe her name was, not too chatty knew her stuff. Don't really remember who all
else was there exactly, minor hiccups with the weakened Hamidon but we won it. Once again Wire, Brain Thief and me did it twice. We started the first LG
kinda early and there were other's wanting to join up so as soon as we got out of it we started another with no pick ups and very few deaths having the
knowledge on how to beat the Hami better the second time. Team two finished 20 mins faster than team two. Having a scrapper run the first and a fire/kin
troller run the second I can safely say that on LG it's much easier being ranged than having to actually be inside Hami for any amount of time. But... It
makes me want to take on Hami himself. >.> You may be right, I may be crazy.

Lesse, for team one, I believe it was me with Amber, Fox with Nogi, Wire with Mags, Vyp with Enkili, Brain Theif with Mag Taser, Paine Ravencry (Vyp's
Stone Tank friend), Dark Indigo, and Silver Shrike with Luna for a quick fill for the 8th spot.

Our little Hami mini-raid went well for the yellows as far as I remember, then we got a little scattered trying to take on the blues, we regrouped/reorg'd
and got it down for the rest. There were (I think) 5 of each Mito for this raid, and I kinda wonder how many a full raid contains. I think its on the order of
15-20, plus the full raid has blooms. Being inside the Cytoplasm reduces movement speed, and I tried to hover just in range for my attacks while staying
outside the cytoplasm, for both practical (No -Speed) and aesthetic ( EWWW! I'm -covered- in Hami Goo!! ) reasons.

Oh, and one other thing: BAD FOX for mentioning Yellow Dawn! BAD! NO BISCUIT!

Something that I noticed, that isn't mentioned in the wiki as far as I can tell, is that people covered in Hami goo are immune to healing for a short time
after they exit the blob. This made it frustrating for me, since, well, as an emp/rad defender, that was pretty much all I was good for. [Image: smile.gif]

(that's not totally true -- my sniper attack let me hover outside of goo range and still help pop those pesky mito thingies, for example -- but on the
whole I pretty much focused on buffs and heals)

But yeah. After exiting the goo, my target would be immune to heal for a short time, say two or three attempts at it. There was no warning, either -- no
Immune! text or anything like that. It just fired off, consumed my end, and did NOTHING!

Just something to keep in mind for next time, I guess.

the same applies to inspirations. I blew 8 tier II and III greens and 4 tier III blues and a few purples to zero effect - this caused a burst of profanity that
may have left ears ringing.
