Edit: We need a title for this, you know... Affairs of Dragons? (as in, "do not meddle in") - that would be something like "Tatsu no _____" with several possibilites for the blank:

Kanshin. Tatsu no Kanshin. It's apropos, and it just -sounds- like it should be the title of an anime.

"Yo, Tsuchi! You here?" Bosu-sensei yelled from in front of the chattering crowd of Toraguchi Senior High School class 2-C.
"Haaaiiiiii!" Kouga Kagami, known to friend and enemy alike as 'the Sledgehammer,' hopped onto a convenient boulder - one of many scattered around the base of the towering pillar of exposed rock that rose so spectacularly from the hills just south of the valley that cradled her hometown - and waved energetically. 2-C's homeroom teacher - a tall, perpetually disheveled man who smoked like a stove and rode the largest motorcycle she'd ever seen - acknowledged her with a nod and checked her name off of his list. Then she plopped down crosslegged and scowled at the backs of the crowd of other students.
"Jeez," she sniffed, "Why'd we have'ta go to (tiger prison temple) anyway? It's not like anybody in this town ain't been there a million times already."
Her best friend, who was leaning against another rock nearby, chuckled. "Because this way, the school board doesn't have to spring for train fare."
"Hell with that! I'd buy my own ticket if it'd get me outta climbing those damn stairs."
"Garyuuno Kennan!" came the next name on the list, and he lurched to his feet and waved calmly.
"Hai!" Unlike Tsuchi - who, if she had been Canadian, might have been nicknamed after a wolverine for her combination of compact body and vicious temper - Kennan was quite tall, lacking only one centimeter more to be the tallest person in their school - faculty included - and so could easily make eye contact over the heads of the rest of his class.
