Kiri - Mist
gishi - adopted child
(in combination, presumably the name Hidden Mist gives to those of its orphans who have no claim to any other sort of name - the way unknown patients in hospitals become 'Mr. Doe')
Baxter, rendered through a heavy Japanese accent, comes out roughly "Baksta", 'Ba-ku-su-ta,' in kana.
Jounin and Genin versions of Neshan - he cuts his hair because, well, have you ever tried to braid one-handed?
The scenely bits are very cool, and quite workable - I'll go over them and do some editing and adding hopefully later tonight. I've got an image nibbling at the back of my brain for a final resolution scene, where the real team seven comes back and takes over from their replacements, who promptly pop back into their real bodies... nrrg. Stay tuned.
I am kinda leery, though, about busting out the Kaiju-level stuff before the grand finale of the whole plotline - it just doesn't seem appropriate, somehow, and not just because I'd been thinking of Kyuubi as acting more like a Beryl than a Godzilla in this milieu. I guess it's just... once you've gone that far, how can you match the energy? Sure, there's the DBZ answer, but that's, well, stupid... OTOH, that kind of action would make a good place to head for the climax of a long plot arc, and the image of a cute little Firefly making friends with the great-grandaddy of all sea serpents is too cool to pass up out of hand.
Meh. Don't pay too much attention - I'm not at my most coherent at the moment.

"V, did you do something foolish?"
"Yes, and it was glorious."
