I redid the Hinata w/ curse seal picture to have something like Nathan suggested - the result looks rather like the way pheonix tails are often drawn, at least to me. I imagine it would bracnh at the little triangles that connect to chevron sections, like the ones at her chin and under the loose lock of hair, the triangle spreading into a new chevron. It think the eye shapes go well with a doujutsu-user, now that I see it on her.
